The short version: using the calculators collects nothing about you. Requesting quotes shares your name, email and phone with up to three tree service providers, because that is the only way they can call you back.
What we collect
When you use a calculator: nothing identifying. The calculation runs in your browser and we do not store what you entered.
When you request quotes: your name, email address, phone number, ZIP code, the service you want, your timeline, and the estimate range shown to you. We also record the date and time, your IP address, your browser's user agent, and the exact consent text displayed on screen when you submitted.
When you upload a photo: the image is sent to our AI provider for analysis and is not retained by us afterwards.
Analytics: aggregate page traffic through Google Analytics, which sets cookies. This tells us which pages people read, not who you are.
Why we record your consent
Federal law governs automated calls and texts. If you ever dispute having agreed to be contacted, we need to show exactly what wording you saw and when you accepted it. That is why we store the disclosure text alongside your details rather than just a yes/no flag.
Who we share it with
When you request quotes we share your contact details with up to three tree service providers, either directly or through a lead network that routes to providers in your area. Once they have your details, their own privacy practices apply — we cannot delete your information from their systems, only from ours.
We do not sell your information for advertising, and we do not share calculator usage with anyone.
How long we keep it
Quote requests are kept for three years, which covers the statutory window for disputes about contact consent. Analytics data follows Google's retention settings. Ask us to delete your details sooner and we will.
Your rights
Wherever you live, you can email hello@arborcost.comto see what we hold about you, correct it, or have it deleted.
California residents have specific rights under the CCPA and CPRA: to know what personal information we collect and who receives it, to request deletion, to correct inaccuracies, and to opt out of any sale or sharing. We do not sell personal information. Exercising these rights will never get you worse service. Use the same email address.
To stop being contacted by a provider, tell that provider directly — they are the ones calling. Email us as well and we will flag your record.
Cookies
We use analytics cookies only. There are no advertising or tracking cookies on this site. Blocking them in your browser does not affect any calculator.
Children
This site is for homeowners and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect their information.
Changes
If we change this policy we will update the date at the top. Material changes to how we share your information will be stated plainly here, not buried.
