We build cost calculators for tree work, priced on local labor data instead of a national average.
Why we built this
Almost every tree cost calculator online returns one number from a national average. That number is the same whether you live in Mississippi or Washington, whether your oak is over the garage or standing alone in a field. It is not useful, and homeowners walk into quotes with no idea whether $2,400 is fair or double.
So we did the boring version properly: a documented formula, published multipliers, and a geographic adjustment built on the wage figures the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics publishes for tree trimmers and pruners. You can read the whole method and check our arithmetic.
How we make money
The calculators are free and take no email. If you ask us to, we pass your details to local tree service companies who want the work, and they pay us for the introduction. You are never obligated to hire anyone, and the estimate you see is not affected by whether you request quotes.
We say this plainly because you should know what a free tool is funded by.
Accuracy and review
We are engaging an ISA Certified Arborist to review and sign our method and species data. Until that is done we say so rather than implying a review that has not happened.
